Wave 4 Crash: Western Imperialism and the Fall of Imperial China

The Mandate of Heaven, the Centralized Bureaucracy, the Confucian world order: they all came to an end after a "Century of Humiliation" in conflict with Europe and America.

I made these two podcasts a couple years ago, and they get good response (and great arguments) from YouTube viewers. The first is short -- only 20 minutes. The second is longer, close to 40. They'll take you from the Macartney embassy to the Opium Wars to the Taiping and Boxer Rebellions.

Ebrey's high school text covers them from page 214 to 231.
